This position is located in the Program Management Office, Chief Administrative Office (CAO). The Chief Administrative Office is responsible for the management, strategic planning, and leadership of administrative services to support and achieve BPA’s mission and business objectives, including the human capital management, supply chain services, personnel and physical security, continuity of operations, safety, and workplace services. The Program Management Office is responsible for providing staff assistance in planning, development, and administration of programs, systems and work processes that are necessary to perform the critical mission and support activities required of the CAO organization. The team supports day-to-day activities, strategic long-term initiatives, and the development, operation and improvement of the systems that promote best business practices and are necessary for efficient and cost-effective accomplishment of functional responsibilities.
A successful candidate in this position will serve as the BPA Sustainability Program Manager and lead BPA in setting the overall direction in response to Sustainability and climate change mitigation legislation and policies. Such efforts cut across all BPA business functions as well as alignment and coordination with the Department of Energy and BPA Executives. The incumbent is also accountable for BPA to meet its external compliance requirements related to sustainability which are of significant order and involve national relations, the Department of Energy, and the White House through the Council of Environmental Quality.
