- Relays specific guidance and advice to child development program assistants and observes work of program assistants, ensuring duties are being accomplished using appropriate child development techniques and in compliance with governing directives.
- Ensures planned activities stimulate and sustain the interest of children and contribute to their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.
- Makes suggestions for age group and work assignments to ensure continuity and most efficient use of personnel.
