About the Position:

You will serve as a Director of Religious Education for the Religious Support Office, Installation Management Command, Joint Base Lewis Mc-Chord, Religious Support office ensuring soldiers, reservists, civilians, and family members are afforded religious education programs to exercise their religious beliefs.
This is an Excepted Service appointment. If a current federal employee with career or career conditional status is hired for this position the employee will be required to sign a memo of understanding prior to being converted to the excepted service.
Army employees who currently hold Schedule A Excepted Service Religious Education positions must submit a copy of their current SF50 (Notification of Personnel Action) that reflects the highest grade held on a permanent basis.

MISSION: The JBLM chaplain staff oversees and operates nine chapels, and performs or provides a variety of religious services for the Soldiers and Airmen at JBLM: Liturgical, Traditional, Gospel and Contemporary. We have a very active Roman Catholic religious program, as well as Jewish, Islam, Buddhist and Wiccan services.

- Responsible for establishing and implementing the religious education goals, objectives, and programs. May be responsible for development of material(s) to supplement existing curriculum and to interpret higher headquarters guidelines.
