About the Position:
This Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, NH-0346-04 position is located in the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (PEO CBD), Joint Project Management Office for Protection, located at Stafford, VA.
The JPEO CBD exists to manage our nation's investments in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense equipment. Our headquarters is located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood Area, MD, but we have offices across the United States. There are five unique directorates which manage the acquisition of CBRN equipment as enabler to achieving the National Security Strategy and supporting the U.S. Armed Forces; Contamination Avoidance, Guardian, Information Systems, Protection, and Medical Countermeasure Systems. Each of these directorates perform the functions of Prepare, Protect, Prevent, Respond and Recover in a multitude of programs.

You will serve as the Product Support Manager (PSM) responsible for weapons systems products from creation to disposal. You will be responsible for and delegating commensurate authority for the active participation in providing effective management, direction, and control over the life cycle sustainment function of the Project Management Office for Acquisition Category (ACAT) ACAT II, ACAT III, or programs with combined value equal to or greater than the requirements for ACAT II designation in accordance with Department of Defense Instruction 5000.02 Operation of the Defense Acquisition System. The PSM position is delegated the full authority of the Program Executive Officer, Program Manager, or Product Manager for all life cycle product support activities.
Responsibilities include providing logistics technical management which leads to acquisition and fielding of an intensively managed major weapons system, family of systems, or equivalent. You will represent the organization as the authority for all phases of life cycle logistics integrated weapons management projects. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for employee Personnel Management and Equal Employment Opportunity duties for the organization.

(Training courses that carry an American Council of Education (ACE) credit recommendation may be used for equivalency.) ACE credit recommendations may only be used to meet the 24 semester hour standard for Acquisition Corps membership if those credit recommendations have been accepted by and appear on an official transcript from an accredited institution of higher education. DAWIA provides the option to substitute equivalent training for the 12 semester credit hours applied to the 24 hours in the individual's AT&L Career Field and 12 hours in the covered disciplines. This does not apply to the option for 24 semester credit hours in the covered disciplines.
