The position functions as a Public Affairs Specialist for the National Portrait Gallery with primary responsibility for developing, and implementing communications plans and other initiatives to raise the museum’s profile, visitation, and the quality and quantity of media coverage. This position is located in the New Media and Communications Department in the Office of Audience Engagement of the National Portrait Gallery (NPG).
Duties include:

Grade 11: Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree related to this position may be substituted to meet the experience requirements.
