This is an Air National Guard Position under Title 5; Enlistment is NOT required
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Information Technology (IT) specialist responsible for Sector assistance in the operation and maintenance of the installation's Battle Control System-Fixed (BCS-F) and Command & Control (C2) system and auxiliary equipment and to provide technical assistance, training, and support to customers.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. The employee's normal duty days and hours may require rotating shifts and/or days.
2. The employee may be recalled to duty and required to work overtime during other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays on an emergency basis.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-09) or equivalent. Specialized experience must include Knowledge of network systems design, development, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts and methods. Knowledge of the organization's network architecture, topology, and protocols to ensure proper configuration. Knowledge to provide network services that support business requirements and plan, design, develop, and integrate network systems consistent with existing or planned network infrastructures. Knowledge in a wide variety of applications, operating systems, protocols, and equipment used in customer organizations. Knowledge of methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving IT systems. Knowledge in providing advice and assistance to customers and troubleshoot complex problems. Knowledge in providing support in a manner that minimizes interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities. Ability to apply trouble shooting and data analysis methods to resolve operating problems. Ability to write user materials and instructions.
