About the Position:
This position is located in the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (USA MEDDAC) at the Guthrie Ambulatory Health Clinic (GAHC), in the Sexual Assault Medical Management Office (SAMMO), at Fort Drum, NY. You will be the SAMMO Program Manager.
This position is subject to irregular tour of duty to include weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays. You may be recalled for duty in emergency situations, and you may be required for overtime.
This position will require you to be a trained and fully competent as a Sexual Assault Forensic Medical Examiner (SAMFE), also known as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), and/or you must meet this requirement within three years of employment. If you have not attended Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Training, it must be attended within six months of employment. You must obtain and maintain New York State Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Certification within three (3) years of employment.
Fort Drum, home of the 10th Mountain Division, is located in Northern New York's picturesque North County. As one of the most historically unique and geographically beautiful areas of the United States, the area offers bountiful outdoor recreational opportunities such as hunting, fishing, boating, sailing, scuba diving, white water rafting, and winter sports of all types.
