The NASA Pathways Intern Program provides students with the opportunity to explore NASA careers and gain meaningful developmental work experience. This is a formal training program consisting of rotational periods of study and work. Participants receive formal periodic assessments of progress and sign a Pathways Agreement.
This Pathways Intern (co-op) position is for an engineering student trainee in the Project Management Branch located in the Facilities Division of the Facilities, Test and Manufacturing Directorate at the NASA Glenn Research Center. The Branch Provides concept-to-completion project management and contract administration services for facility design and construction projects. Projects wide-ranging in size and complexity are accomplished through Architectural/Engineering professional services contracts , construction contracts, and onsite task order type construction contracts. Projects managed include new construction and/or large maintenance activities, repairs, modifications, upgrades and demolition of existing institutional and research facilities, structures, systems and equipment at Lewis Field and Plum Brook Station.
The Intern may be converted to an AST, Experimental Facility Development with full performance to the GS-13.

This position is part of the NASA Pathways Intern Program which is a formal training program.
The incumbent will support facilities institutional infrastructure, associated projects and senior projects managers in the Project Management and Construction Branch.
This position requires you to work a specific schedule such as one semester at school followed by one
semester at NASA. While the appointment must last at least one calendar year, this includes time on leave without pay while attending school.
You will be required to sign a Pathways Participant Agreement.
Pathways candidates must be pursuing or planning to pursue a standard professional curriculum in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree or higher with major study in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture.
