The DHS Cybersecurity Internship Program is specially designed to provide graduate students with cybersecurity-focused assignments and expose students to the field of cybersecurity within the Department. Selected students will support the cybersecurity mission at one of the following DHS components: Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD), United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), and United States Secret Service (USSS).
This position may be eligible for a non-competitive conversion to a career or career-conditional or TERM (for up to four years) appointment, upon completion of the student's academic degree program and 640 hours of work related experience.
To be eligible for the Pathways Intern Program, individuals must have been accepted for enrollment or be enrolled and seeking a degree (masters, certificate, etc.) or have completed 2 academic years of graduate level education in a qualifying educational institution on a full or half time basis.

Background Investigation: To ensure the accomplishment of its mission, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires each and every employee to be reliable and trustworthy.
