These positions are in the Office of
Investigations (OI), in HHS OIG. The mission of OI is to conduct and coordinate
investigative activities related to fraud, waste and abuse in HHS
programs and operations, including wrongdoing by applicants, grantees,
contractors, or by employees in the performance of their official
duties.
These positions are for current students enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited high school, college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate.
This is an
excepted service appointment under the OIG Internship Program and is not to exceed September 30, 2017. This appointment does not allow for non-competitive conversion to a term or permanent appointment in the federal service.
