Specialized experience is defined as: assisting in providing administrative support to ensure tasks such as annual training is completed, parking permits are coordinated and congressional identification badges are secured; monitoring responses to inquiries to ensure they are organized, clear and concise; verifying facts for complex regulatory or program information to discourage misinformation to Congress; and recognizing inconsistencies in related regulations to recommend alternative solutions to the issue at hand.

It provides leader training and education that supports civilian leaders' career path requirements and professional development, and promotes lifelong learning and self development as integral parts of the civilian leader development program. The following course and time requirements apply to this position: The Foundation Course (FC) is required for all employees hired after 30 September 2006. The Basic Course (BC) must be completed within one year of placement into the position. The Intermediate Course (IC) must be completed within two years after placement into the position.
