The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to support the AO and the courts on personnel law matters and ethics. This position focuses on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and claims of employment discrimination, employment litigation before administrative bodies or, in coordination with the Department of Justice in federal court, and compliance with the Judiciary and AO's Employment Dispute Resolution Plans and Fair Employment Practices System.
The incumbent must have excellent legal research and analytical skills and the ability to write clearly and succinctly; plan, organize, and work effectively under demanding circumstances and time constraints; identify and resolve problems effectively; and communicate effectively with AO management, judges, and other Judiciary personnel on sensitive issues.

Applicants must possess a law degree (J.D.) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA). Qualifying education must have been obtained from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education.
