This position is open to all on board (perm) Title 32, NG Employees within the NYNG at the facility.
As a SUPV IT SPEC (PLCYPLN), GS-2210-13, you will engineer, install or remove, and perform maintenance on Command and Control, Communications, Computer and Information (C4I) systems and facilities. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. It ensures that the squadron meets all wartime combat readiness standards, and provides guidance and direction to the squadron through planning, coordinating, and directing a variety of functions including information management, base level cyberspace systems integration management, engineering, installation management,, radio and antenna maintenance, logistics plans, supply, quality assurance, human resources development and management, heavy mobility equipment maintenance, and workload management. Through subordinate supervisors, the incumbent directs and supervises staff functions affecting very complex telecommunications and information technology systems composed of a wide variety of high cost, sophisticated equipment, and is responsible for all technical support, radio maintenance, secure communications maintenance, and support equipment maintenance. The position is responsible for environmental, safety and physical security programs.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Must have experience directing an organization of technical and administrative specialists, systems analysts, and supervisors. Must have experience being responsible for all aspects of the mission usage of information technology, telecommunications operations and support activities. Must be experience in assessing and ensuring compliance, supportability and planning for a wide variety of programs and operations including but not limited to radio and computer maintenance, logistics plans, supply, quality assurance, human resources development and management, maintenance control, information management, telecommunications, communication networks (voice and data), plans and programs, and computer systems operations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

-Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
