Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of administrative and support duties in areas such as administration, travel, files management, property accountability, personnel accountability, and reports; utilizing regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines, and processes governing administrative management functions; providing guidance and assisting customers on travel, reports, timekeeping, property and supplies, and record management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for required experience to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone. Substitution of education for experience is NOT permitted.
