As a Training Instructor, you will develop and instruct curriculum for complex systems associated with Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) training programs, equipment, Ground Control Stations and data terminal courses.
Military Grades: Enlisted
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-9: 1 year equivalent to the GS-7. Maintain assigned training aircraft and equipment. Provide subject matter expert support to the RPA community. Identifies tasks and ensures they are efficiently and effectively supported by job or skill performance aids. Prepares as needed, supplemental material in the form of study guides, case studies, practical exercises, and instructor manuals.
GS-11:
1 year equivalent to the GS-9. Develops Classroom, field exercises and hands-on training curriculum for Remotely Piloted Aircraft Maintenance position (or AFSC's). Develops several training programs to include: initial, refresher, recurring, and remedial. Performs Instructional System Design (ISD) duties such as course maintenance and updates based on major command (MAJCOM) and higher headquarters (HHQ) requirements, student needs, course content, and mission emphasis. Ensures plans are developed and instructed in accordance with HHQ and MAJCOM regulations, documents, and directives. Researches a wide range of principles, practices, and concepts involved in RPA maintenance rules and procedures, aircraft characteristics, and aircraft systems to develop the syllabus for courses required through academic instruction.
In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and the methods and techniques of instruction. Applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education in the amounts shown in the table in the Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions for this series.

This position is located in an Air Education and Training Command (AETC) MQ-9 Aircraft Maintenance training facility.

PCS- Relocation costs are authorized subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation and an agency determination that a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is in the Government's best interest.
Superior Qualifications and Special Needs Pay-setting Authority may be considered for this position. TAG is final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to newly appointed federal employees or those with a 90 day break in service).
