This position is located in the Pentagon Operations Center (POC) Division. The mission of the POC, and particularly of the Telecommunications Equipment Operator, is to observe, receive, validate, and react to information regarding indications of potential threats to public safety, physical security breaches, or compromises of infrastructure integrity at Pentagon facilities in the NCR in order to provide a safe work environment for the DoD community and its visitors.

The mission ofthe Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement as required for the people, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources at the Pentagon Reservation and for Department of Defense (DoD) activities and DoD leased facilities not under the jurisdiction of a Military Department within the National Capital Region (NCR) (hereafter referred to as "the Pentagon Facilities").
