About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock AFB, AR - Library.
This Part Time position is guaranteed 32 hours per week.
Physical Effort: Must be able to frequently lift boxes up to 40 pounds and reach up to 72 inches with/without assistance of a step stool. Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching; pushing loaded book trucks; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items.

Shelves books, magazines, and other library materials according to various library systems.
Ensures all materials are re-shelved in correct order.
Reviews library's collection to maintain correct order in assigned areas.
Checks the condition of books in designated areas and removes obsolete/damaged materials for review.
Performs minor mending on books.
Processes new, rebound, and reconditioned library materials for circulation and reference.
Assists with annual inventory of the collection.
Assists with automated and manual circulation duties, including registering and deleting users, charging and discharging library materials, taking requests for reserves and interlibrary loans, and ensuring those requests are filled.
Assists with processing overdue materials.
Assists with the library procurement/acquisition process according to established procedures.
Explains library rules to users and ensures compliance.
Assists users in locating books and information in card catalogs, databases, and on the shelves; refers difficult questions to higher staff members.
Performs routine clerical tasks such as answering the telephone, taking messages, and referring callers or visitors to appropriate staff members.
Assists in maintaining and updating library statistics and filing.
Uses various word processing software to prepare and print letters, reports, memos, and other documents.
Assists in implementing programs, publicity, and marketing of library services.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
