Responsible for implementing and overseeing content/social media program strategy. Within guidelines, develops strategy and implements tactical plans, including creating programs that generate traffic back to websites, incite conversation, engagement, and grow community. Works with program managers to create social strategy, content, make branded content more socially relevant, distribute content across social networks, and raises awareness of Services and Force Support programs in social channels. Manages and grows AF approved social networking presence by posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed. Oversees brand presence, communication/posting strategies and day-to-day maintenance of activity on secondary social channels such as YouTube, Flickr, and Instant Message or similar. Manage incoming media requests via social channels and build relationships with social industry experts and journalists. Listens and monitors posts and commentary across all key social channels (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest and major blogs) on a daily basis. Ensures social media tools are kept up to date with active reporting flow. Oversees contracts with vendors as needed. Identifies opportunities and proposes themes or promotions for engagement and make recommendation to increase customer involvement on current promotions as they arise. Elevates negative comments and mitigates these to defuse negative comments. Regularly reports quantitative and qualitative metrics. Measures impact of social media; analyzes and reports findings. Regularly provides insights gained from social media monitoring to the organization to help evolve their strategies in a timely fashion. Listens to ad hoc conversation in response to issues, situations and other trends impacting brand image and consumer opinions. Provides insights and recommendations on overall communications strategies to management. Reviews, analyzes and provides actionable reporting on key engagement and fan base metrics for key external social platforms. Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications. Serves as the subject matter expert for social media with AF guidelines. Develops field products/templates, guides and training.
