Performs administrative and technical functions in support of the SSD, including carrying out special projects requiring the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to accomplish varying priorities.
Helps plan and coordinate the administrative affairs of the SSD to facilitate the day-to-day activities.
Performs courier duties as may be required by OS in support of the Passport Office. In this role the incumbent may be called upon to courier passports between the State Department and embassies.
Will be responsible for performing mail functions. This includes metering and providing assistance in assembling large distributions from DOI internal organizations and Creative Communications Services (CCS).
Assists in processing improperly addressed mail. Opens, reads, and determines recipient based on subject matter. Accurately forwards mail to appropriate organization. Processes controlled mail and ensures secured delivery.
Provides support in all administrative areas of which the SSD is responsible to enable the other OFAS divisions to focus on their mission. Participates in administrative office coverage where/when needed.
This position provides Executive Driving services. This includes transporting political and nonpolitical appointed Senior Officials in the Secretary's Immediate Office and OS.
