The position serves as a functional for the Cash Management and Investment Program (CMIP), a highly automated global in-house banking system, which serves to centrally control and manage cash deposits, disbursements, inter/intra fund transfers made by all Air Force and installation Nonappropriated Fund Instrumentalities (NAFIs). This involves the planning and directing of all processing streams to ensure reporting and system interfaces are functioning properly, accurate issuance of cash orders to the concentration bank withdrawing funds from 145 bank accounts, validation of daily foreign currency rates for proper translation conversion into local currency, creation of a daily check positive pay file to authenticate check issues prior to payment, validating and processing credit card remittances, and producing a daily activity statement to over 270 CMIP account holder each day. Responsible for maintenance of the CMIP System, in compliance with Air Force Manual (AF MAN 34-215), to assure accurate recording and maintenance of daily activities into the application with associated general ledger transactions, average account balances and histories (including five foreign exchange concentration accounts and 31 individual accounts), and multi-bank cash subsidiaries. Analyzes and isolates daily reporting and integration problems and develops solutions to maintain system integrity. security. and internal controls. Provides support for all functions related to the CMIP program including but not limited to: daily verification and release of U.S. dollar and foreign currency electronic fund transfer (EFT) transactions for automated clearing house (ACH) payments and wire transfers in accordance with internal policies and procedures an pertinent rules and regulations, ongoing support of paper check conversion (Desktop reporting and Deposit) program, supports AAFES dividend distribution/ research, performs maintenance and analysis of credit card refund reporting and other duties as assigned. Provides support for administration of NAFI merchant credit card accounts worldwide through verification of and setup of merchant accounts and establishment of additional terminal profiles, ensuring proper transaction flow to the appropriate financial accounts. Reviews and analyzes internal and external reports. maintains historical databases to track trends and assures integrity and accuracy of the financial data. Performs analysis for program continuity and recommendations for program changes. Analyzes and reconciles variances from standards. and initiates appropriate actions. Consistently reviews current business processes. procedures. and internal controls. and provided recommended solutions. Conducts independent analyses. evaluations. reports generation. and briefings, as required, to support Treasury management and accounting functions. Conducts both formal and informal CMIP Training classes to Resource Manager, financial analysts, Office managers, and banking technicians.
