About the Position:
This is a full-time term appointment in the excepted service not to exceed 36 Months. Term appointments may be extended beyond the initial term.
The incumbent provides flexible Chinese Mandarin Language training for US personnel and NATO members and partner nations while offering support through professional expertise and personal experience to Partner Language Training Center Europe (PLTCE) initiatives as directed by the Chair of the Strategic Language Department.

The Partner Language Training Center Europe (PLTCE) is a NATO Partnership Training and Education Center (PTEC) and a NATO Accredited Education & Training Facility. It is one of four Directorates at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch, Germany. PLTCE conducts language training for US and international students in ten to fifteen languages/dialects, including English, as well as professional training for language teachers and testers. Approximately 400 students attend PLTCE resident courses each year. These courses are of varied lengths and levels of technical and linguistic proficiency. www.pltce.org
