About the Position: Serves as a Survey Technician spending majority of duty time in the field conducting various types of field surveys. The work is predominantly conducted in field environments requiring day trips and TDY to project sites.

Qualifications Continued:
GS-10: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of surveying methods, concepts, policies, and techniques related to boundary, LiDAR and topographic surveys, 2)identifying, evaluating, and recommending appropriate solutions to survey problems using analytical and diagnostic, and qualitative and quantitative techniques, 3) conducting various types of field surveys utilizing multiple equipment platforms, 4) processing and presenting data collected to senior leaders, internal and external stakeholders, and partners, 5) troubleshooting and ensuring calibrations are correct, 6) assisting others to resolve conflicts and 7) utilizing state of the art surveying techniques and Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to remain current and conduct surveys of the highest accuracy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
