The Program Analyst (Space and Missile Defense (SMD)) is responsible for managing and analyzing the Space Control portfolio across the Department and with the Intelligence Community. For assigned programs she/he is responsible for functional oversight of DoD space control programs, and employment of portfolio analyses as a basis for making acquisition decisions on individual programs. Will also serve as Activity Security Representative (ASR) for DoD SAPs within the DASD(SSIPM) portfolio.

The Program Analyst for Space and Missile Defense (SMD) is responsible to the Director SMD for managing and analyzing the Space Control portfolio across the Department and in coordination with the Intelligence Community (IC).
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

This position requires a Program Management, Level 4 Advanced acquisition certification. You will have 60 months to achieve this certification.
This is a Critical Acquisition Position. Incumbent will be required to sign a written tenure agreement to remain, for a minimum of three years, in the Federal Service in the Critical Acquisition Position.
Nepotism: Under the provisions of 5 USC 3110, an individual may not be appointed into a position if the position is under the supervisory chain of command of a relative.
Other priority consideration programs will continue under their current operating procedures.
