DUTIES:
The primary function of Maintenance Workers is to clean restrooms, stock restroom supplies and clean other facilities by vacuuming, sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows. In addition, maintenance workers collect and dispose of trash from roadsides and parking lots, remove limbs and other obstructions from roadsides and grounds. Maintenance workers also operate small equipment such as leaf blowers, string trimmers and hedge trimmers; in addition to operating push lawn mowers and zero turn mowers. Maintenance Workers also perform minor maintenance duties on all park facilities and historical structures and assist higher-level tradesmen on more complex tasks. Maintenance Workers most often work alone and possess all necessary authority and autonomy to execute normal duties.
There is no substitution of education for experience for Wage Grade (WG) positions.

Physical Demands: Works from ladders, scaffolds and platforms and where surfaces to be coated, or the parts of systems worked on are hard to reach that require incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
