Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. The specialized experience requirements for the GS-15 level of this position are: Experience planning, conducting, and leading a collaborative research program focused on animal health in agricultural animals; serving as editor or co-editor of peer-reviewed journals; leading as principal investigator on funded grants; presenting research findings at domestic and international scientific meetings; and holding a leadership position with commodity groups related to animal agriculture (such as committee chair).
