Background Investigation: This position is designated as critical sensitive and requires that a background investigation be conducted and favorably adjudicated in order to establish eligibility for appropriate security clearances.
Financial Disclosure: Senior Executives are required to comply with the provisions of the Ethics in Government Act, PL 95-521, which requires the submission of a financial disclosure statement (OGE-278), upon assuming an SES position. This must be submitted annually and upon termination of employment.

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Department of Defense (DoD), is under the direction, authority and control of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. The mission of the MDA is to develop, test, deploy and sustain a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, it deployed forces, allies and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight. The Missile Defense System is an enduring operationally effective and supportable defensive system of systems against Ballistic Missiles, Hypersonic Missiles, Cruise Missiles (Homeland) and Integrated Air and Missile Defense. As the Director for Strategy, Plans and Resources (DZ), the incumbent is the principal advisor to the Director, MDA on all matters related to strategic resource planning for the entire spectrum of the MDA operational mission and financial management requirements, Congressional matters, cost estimating, human resources matters, workforce policy and administrative matters required for operational mission and Agency management.
