As a Senior SF Housing Specialist (QAD), you will:
Candidates will be selected for a job assigned to one of the official duty stations listed in this announcement. Failure to report to duty at the location for which the candidate is selected may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.
The duty station for this position will be a home-based worksite or other non-HUD owned space anywhere within HUD's Santa Ana HOC Region, which encompasses the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Experience with the Federal Housing Administrations (FHA) loss mitigation rules, Handbooks, and Mortgagee Letters governing FHA approved lenders; AND
- Experience utilizing practices and procedures common to the mortgage servicing industry; AND
- As a member of a team, providing results of the analysis of a lenders servicing operations and determining if their operations and quality control program met FHA requirements; AND
- Recommending policy changes for servicing policies.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.

Pay will be determined based on the duty location of the position. Employees will receive the locality rate associated with the location of their home worksite. This is a 100% telework position, in which you may reside and work at a location within the Santa Ana HOC.
