This position serves as a the Student Trainee (Public Affairs Specialist) in the Public Affairs Office, Office of Communications and Public Liaison (OCPL), Office of the Director (OD), NIH. This Office serves as the point of contact for the media on major NIH activities, manages media interviews for the NIH Director and other NIH leaders, and coordinates with NIH's Institutes and Centers on media inquiries. OCPL also creates and designs numerous publications, manages content and strategy for NIH.gov and Salud.nih.gov, and develops the NIH Director's speeches and blog, among other functions.
