The Executive Director for Cardiology provides advisory and consultative services to the Deputy Chief Officer, Specialty Care Program Office, and the Assistant Under Secretary for Health for Clinical Services, on all policies and procedures pertaining to the Veterans Health Administration cardiology programs and initiatives. The Executive Director manages all VHA Cardiology Programs, Initiatives, and field advisory committees as well as assists in the development of strategic, legislative, and budgetary plans. In coordination with the Chief Officer, the Executive Director collaborates with Network and Medical Center Directors to assure that top quality cardiology services are made available, immediately accessible, and efficiently provided to all eligible Veterans as clinically indicated.
