This position is located in the Nutrition and Food Service of a Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Nutrition and Food Services is responsible for providing meals and nutritional care to Veteran patients at the Medical Center.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Provides leadership functions with oversight of supervisors/managers to include instructions/information to get work started, lead activities of production and service areas, OJT to lower graded FSW, complete safety/sanitation check lists, and review daily work assignment sheets and makes adjustments as needed.
2. Performs duties of WG-4/3/2 as needed.
Work Schedule: Various tours, schedule to be determined by Supervisor.

Physical Requirements: The work performed requires some light to heavy work, such as scouring and scrubbing large size cooking utensils and pushing heavy carts and trucks in unloading, storing and delivering supplies. Subject to continuous sitting, standing, walking and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift or move objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance of others.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
