In this position, you will serve as Intermediate Care Technician. Duties include but are not limited to:
Evaluating patients for emergency medical conditions, order appropriate diagnostic studies and perform a wide range of treatment procedures under the direction of the supervising physician.
Necessary interventions based upon patient symptoms and established protocols / standards of care should be part of the routine capabilities of this position.
Assisting in behavioral/psychiatric situations to include crisis intervention, management of aggressive or suicidal psychiatric patients, and one-to-one observations.
Assisting Physicians with complex, specialized. and potentially life threatening procedures such as defibrillation, cardioversion, or initiation of mechanical ventilation to restore normal physiological function or prevent deterioration of patient's condition.
These duties are not all inclusive and require the demonstration of appropriate training and documented competence prior to their unrestricted performance.

Physical Requirements: The work requires a level of physical fitness that allows for standing for extended periods, heavy lifting to position patients, and manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures. The work will require recurrent bending, lifting, stooping, standing, squatting, stretching, sitting and walking.
