The primary purpose of this position is to provide sound business advice in the execution of pre-award and post-award functions, using a wide range of common contracting methods and contract types, to assist in the procurement of standard or specialized services, commodities, and/or construction within an operational contracting office. The work requires knowledge of the legislation, regulations, and methods used in contracting; and, knowledge of business and industry practices, sources of supply, cost factors, and requirements characteristics. Program require incumbents to manage, supervise, perform, and develop policies and procedures for professional work involving the procurement of supplies, services, construction, or research and development using formal advertising or negotiation procedures; the evaluation of contract price proposals; and the administration or termination and close-out of contracts.
MANDATORY POSITIVE EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
