As a Buffer and Polisher, you will set up, operate, and maintain computer-controlled polishing machines, computer-controlled laser etching machines, computer-controlled ultrasonic cleansing machines, and computer-controlled physical vapor deposition (PVD) machines to transform raw dies to proof-set dies intended for single- or two-toned coins of a gem-like quality.

Physical effort requires standing and sitting for long periods of time; using arms, fingers and hands to position, repair, store, document, locate or dispose of equipment and material. The incumbent consistently handles machinery, equipment, tools, instruments and material that weighs up and occasionally more than 10 pounds. The work also requires walking, stooping, bending, frequent lifting, and moving of items that weigh up to 30 pounds.
