The Professional Development Program (PDP) is a 2-year development program for entry level employees. The PDP focuses on assimilating new staff into GAO by developing and enhancing knowledge, skills and abilities through a combination of formal and on-the-job training and exposure to various projects through engagement rotations. All members of the PDP meet regularly with advisors to identify professional goals, discuss developmental opportunities and reinforce performance feedback.

Superior academic achievement (SAA) recognizes individuals who have achieved superior academic standing. S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.

This is an entry level position in which applicants will join the PDP program and rotate among three of the 12 mission teams during their first two years before being placed in one mission team. We have a need for a limited number of entry level staff to work only within GAO's Health Care Team while they are in the developmental program. You will be asked (in the vacancy questions section of this announcement) whether you wish to be considered for GAO's Health Care team or if you'd prefer to rotate among various GAO mission teams throughout your first 2 years of employment with the agency.
