Duties

Help
  • As Team Leader for this QA team, assigns work with time frames for completion.
  • Leads the time in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provides leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining what improvements can be made (e. g., in work methods, processes and procedures).
  • Reviews contracts and technical data packages to identify the specification requirements which the contractor's processes must meet.
  • Prepares, maintains and retains plans, records, data, reports, correspondence, and other documentation as required by contracts, customer instructions and current DCMA policy.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships with the activities served by the organization.
  • Plans and carries out assignments independently; determines the scope and level of quality assurance activities based on the requirements; establishes priorities; interprets and applies general agency quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in order to make presentations and to translate technical written documents into plain language.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Lead Quality Assurance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Leading a team and/or applying mechanical quality assurance principles, concepts, and methodology when analyzing products within a contractor's process
  • Performing statistical quality data analysis and evaluation to determine supplier compliance with contractual requirements.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
