The VISN 17 Chief Mental Health Officer (CMHO) reports to the VISN 17 Chief Medical Officer and has overall responsibility and authority for planning, organizing, coordinating, reviewing, evaluating, and improving the operations of VISN 17 Mental Health Services. The CMHO develops, implements, and coordinates programs, in addition to working with and through mental health leaders and health care system management at all VISN 17 sites.
