Help

Conduct logistics reviews with government agencies, contractors, and military organizations to effectively implement logistics policies and programs.
Administer logistics policies, procedures, and legislation in order to effectively oversee cost, schedule, and continuous process improvement and support of assigned missions.
Perform the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
Interact with other organizations and agencies to execute responsibilities and organizational activities in order to resolve logistical issues related to highly complex weapon or information systems.
Assigns work and establishes priorities; evaluates performance of subordinates; give advice, counsel and/ or instruction to subordinates on both work and administrative matters; interviews and recommends selection of candidates for positions.
Develops performance standards. Identifies developmental and training needs of employees.
Supports an understanding of the commands affirmative/EEO Program; ensuring EEO principals are reflected in all aspects of personnel management

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
This position requires pre-employment Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
This position requires Level III certification in the acquisition career field of Life Cycle Logistics within 24 months of occupying the position.
This position requires a written agreement to remain in Federal service in this position for at least three years unless a waiver is granted. In signing such agreement, the employee does not forfeit any terms or conditions of employment.
This position requires Acquisition Corps membership prior to appointment to a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) unless a waiver is granted.
Incumbent must complete a supervisory probationary period, including any mandatory supervisory or refresher training, unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying advanced concepts, principles, practices and regulations pertaining to the field of logistics management related to weapon system project/program; providing leadership or managing logistics supply and maintenance, weapon system programming and allocation; and overseeing materiel acquisition policy in order to integrate the separate logistics functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 or GS-13.
