Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Trade, Regulations and Rulings, Regulations and Disclosure Law Division, Border Security Regulations Branch located in Washington, DC.
This position serves as the Branch Chief within DHS, CBP, Office of Trade (OT), Regulations and Rulings (RR), Regulations and Disclosure Law Division, Border Security Regulations Branch. This position starts at a salary of $142,701.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $170,800.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $170,800.00 (GS-15 Step 10).

This position is a designated position in the excepted service and is being filled by an alternative hiring process. Assignment into this position does not confer competitive status.

Supervisory Probationary Period: You may be required to serve an 18 month probationary period upon appointment and complete a supervisory training course within 12 months of assignment.
Supervisory Training: All newly appointed first-time GS-15 Supervisors are required to complete mandatory training. The training will be scheduled by the Office of Training and Development within the first 90 days of appointment. The duration of the training will include (CBP LI five (5) weeks) in residence training in Harpers Ferry, WV. Note: This training may be waived if previously completed.
Telework may be available on a regular recurring or situational basis based on the needs of the position.
