About the position:
This position is located at the Bowling Center, Bldg. 627, with the 35th Force Support Squadron.
The incumbent is responsible for preparing various reports, records, purchase orders, correspondence, and other related documents pertaining to the operation of the Bowling Center.
This is a regular part time category position; guaranteed 20 hours per week, but may work up to 34 hours a week (depending on the needs of the facility).

Compiles from rough or handwritten drafts, letters, memos, reports, forms, and other financial and statistical data in final format and submits to supervisor for approval. Proofreads material for correct grammar, spelling and accuracy of information. Monitors short and long term suspenses and maintains other reference material. Maintains publications, forms, and performs the duties of documentation clerk. Periodically updates files, makes appropriate changes as needed, ensures disposition of files in accordance with file plans and regulations. Receives and distributes mail. Requisitions merchandise, prepares payments for contracts, and prepares and submits TBCC's. Operates a personal computer using software such as Microsoft, Qubica, and other programs. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using a personal computer or workstation that is networked or linked to other computers or workstations throughout the work area or organization. Enters time and attendance into SETS for manager approval. Updates daily Yen rate register keys and advertisements Balances cash register drawers for beginning and ending shifts, completes the AF Form 1875, prepares and submits the AF Form 1876 for approval, consolidates and prepares deposits, and submits deposit to main cashier cage. Balances change vault daily and makes change as necessary with the main cashier cage. Receives and oversees Pro Shop inventory. Assists with video and slot harvests. Assists the supervisor with the daily functions of the activity. Performs other duties as assigned. May work bowling counter on an as needed basis to include assigning lanes, rental shoes, receiving payments, and taking reservations. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

NAF employment is considered federal employment. It is, however, different from federal civil service employment because the monies used to pay the salaries of NAF employees come from a different source. Civil service positions are paid for by money appropriated by Congress. NAF money, on the other hand, is self-generated by Air Force clubs, bowling centers, golf courses, and other activities that use NAF employees.
