The Deputy Executive Director serves as an advisor to the Executive Director, OEHRM, VA Secretary and Deputy Secretary. Represents the Executive Director in a wide variety of situations within and outside the Department and works with the representatives of other Federal agencies and the private sector.
The Deputy Executive Director assist the Executive Director in the development and implementation of a Comprehensive, cohesive and robust, business-driven approach to OEHRM's operations and services by establishing and deploying operational criteria, methodologies and business processes that ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to new health IT products and solutions.
Provides executive oversight of the vision, strategy and direction for a shared services organization. Manages relationships with key stakeholders and customers. Ensures OEHRM programs transparency and compliance, timely and accurate processes and reporting, prompt issue resolution, effective internal and external communication and feedback, focus on customer responsiveness, and continuous process improvement. Oversees the development, implementation and management of appropriate cost and performance metrics to ensure optimum quality and efficiency of services provided and use of resources.
