Subject matter experts will evaluate the first three pages of your resume. You must have at least a year of full-time experience demonstrating accomplishment of the duties and competencies described below:
Application Development: Design, develop and implement new software applications to meet program needs. Modify, test, install, implement, and support applications. Advise stakeholders on the application development process. Must have experience with application development within the last 3 years.
Analytical Ability: Approaches problems quantitatively and displays critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Breaks down complex problems into component parts. Applies logic and deductive reasoning to make data-driven decisions. Works with customers to translate business requirements into IT/IM solutions.
Project Management: Plans and develops projects in a structured approach using a variety of skills and techniques appropriate to the size and complexity of the undertaking.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Structured Phone Interview: You will meet with at least one SME to complete the structured phone interview. You're responses to the interview questions are scored to further assess whether your experience meets the required competencies for this position
Ranking and Referral: Veteran Preference will be applied to applicants who move forward after the qualifying phone interviews. The “Best Qualified” applicants will be issued to the Selecting Official by the Human Resources Office. Veteran preference eligibles are listed ahead of non-preference eligibles within each quality category. Based upon your category and score, you may be referred to the selecting official. If you are referred for consideration, you may be subject to additional assessments.
