Performs one or a combination of the following:
Provides information and service to authorized patrons concerning facility, dress code, and golf course regulations, and proper rules of the game. Patrols golf course and ensures proper progress of play. Ensures proper use of golf carts on course. May assists golfers with golf bags, score cards, returning golf carts, etc.
Maintain records/reports of equipment and inventory as required. Reports any damage or required repairs to the course needed to supervisor.
May operate a cash register, receive payment and make change. Completes daily activity report (DAR) and ensures proper deposit of cash receipts.
Ensures course rules are observed. Attempts to settle rule disputes, disturbances or emergency situations. Notifies emergency services when needed, attends to golfer until medical personnel arrive. Prepares proper documentation as required.
Performs housekeeping tasks to ensure proper appearance, cleanliness and safety of assigned area. May set up and pick up course flags.
Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors and checks the security of premises. Follows established shut down and lock up procedures as needed .
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Six months experience in recreation or service-oriented activity is desired.
Knowledge of PGA Golf rules and regulations.
Ability to maintain records and reports.
Ability and skill to handle a variety of different incidents and people.
Ability to perform minor maintenance of equipment.
Ability to settle disputes in a diplomatic manner.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
