Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Deputy Superintendent, provides overall management of the Yellowstone Center for Resources at Yellowstone National Park. This is one of the most complex natural and cultural resources program in the National Park Service. This position provides oversight the division for resource management and stewardship which includes over 80 employees, an annual budget of over $10 million. Incumbent is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the division staff that are involved in wide range of natural and cultural resources management and stewardship. The incumbent serves as an advisor to the Superintendent and is a member of the park's Senior Leadership Team.
To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. Transcripts do not need to be official, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Physical Demands: The majority of the work will require no unusual physical activity. Normal activities include sitting, standing, working in an office or meeting environment, or travel by motor vehicle or commercial aircraft. Field situations may involve travel and work in low flying fixed or rotary wing aircraft, off-road vehicles, horseback, or walking long distances over rough terrain during inclement weather.
Working Conditions: The majority of work is performed in an office or meeting setting. Considerable travel via motor vehicle or commercial aircraft will be required, Overnight lodging at commercial facilities as well as attending meetings or temporarily working in other agencies' offices or locations is required, Overnight as well as short sustained living in backcountry or wilderness situations may be required, Incumbent is expected to perform all duties in safe manner consistent with all applicable department and service safety standards, as well as ensure a safe working environment for all personnel supervised
