This position is within the staff of the Deputy Director (DD) in the Library Division (DL), of the National Gallery of Art. The primary purpose of the position is to act as project manager in conjunction with the division’s department heads in developing, implementing, and maintaining a systematic digitization program.

The incumbent:

Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, the incumbent may walk to other offices in the East and west Buildings.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the federal GS-9 level, developing, implementing, and maintaining a systematic digitization program for a library’s acquisitions and cataloging operations.
Other Relevant Eligibility Criteria:
Successful candidates must have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university, which included a combination of at least 24 semester hours in library science and information technology.
