This position is located in General Services Administration, Office of Strategic Communication (OSC), in Washington, DC
As a Communication Specialist, you will be performing the following duties:
Advises on objectives, alternative strategies and resource requirements. Identifies emerging or potential problem areas and develops and advises on the implementation of solutions. Monitors progress towards meeting logistic plans and identifies the cause and impact of any delays or issues
Collaborates with others to develop internal and external communication goals (i.e., Senior Leadership, Directors, Branch Chiefs, all personnel, and external customers, etc.) to ensure objectives are achieved in the most efficient and timely manner; Utilizes oral and written communication skills to expertly communicate messages relating to agency initiatives, programs and achievements.
Develops finished written products that articulate, interpret and explain highly complex important programs, surveys and research findings. Writes and edits highly professional material, including formal presentations and communication materials for use by various staff.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $99,172 per year.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience developing and implementing internal and external communication plans, which include: newsletters, webinars, formal briefing papers, informational brochures, email notices and websites. Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions.
