Full Time, Excepted Service appointment with an Initial Term Not-To-Exceed 13 months; however, each year with a satisfactory performance appraisal, the appointment may be extended for an additional year.
As an Instructor of English, you will:
Ideal Candidate: The candidate must be a highly motivated and experienced professional possessing a Doctorate degree in English and experience teaching freshman-level composition courses, as well as 200-level literature courses. Must also possess integrity, stamina, and ingenuity, and be capable of adjusting to various work environments, physical demands, and schedules.
To be qualified for this position, you must meet the education requirements and have experience teaching college level classes in the required field of study.
To qualify for an Instructor of English you must possess a minimum of one academic year teaching composition and literature courses at a college/University.
Highly Desirable:
The educational requirement for this Instructor of English you must have a Master’s (preferably a doctorate) degree in English. Your application package must include transcripts to support that you have met this requirement.
