Secures vegetables and fruits and washes, peels, slices or prepares them for cooking and serving. Seasons and pans meats for roasting. Breads chickens and other meat entrees for frying. Operates chicken broaster.
Slices meats and prepares hot and cold sandwiches. Operates deep-fat fryer to prepare appetizers, French fries, onion rings and fried sandwiches. Operates grill or microwave in sandwich preparation.
Prepares pizzas as directed. Assembles product ingredients, prepares pizzas and cooks as outlined. Operates a pizza oven.
Wraps, arranges and packages food and beverages for carry-out and delivers to various designated areas or buildings.
Prepares special salads, hors d'oeuvres, desserts and other food items to accommodate unique groups, such as formal dining functions, buffets, receptions and catered events.
Operates a cash register according to standard cash control procedures; is responsible for own cash fund, completes daily activity report and secures deposit of daily cash receipts.
Rings sales by items, totals the sales, receives the money and makes change.
Serves prepared food to customers off of buffet line or by delivering food to the table. Maintains self-service food bars with appropriate quantities of fresh and appealing products. If applicable, takes guests order for meals and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic and serves these items to the guests.
Greets guests and directs them to the table, if applicable.
Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by mixing ingredients or selecting proper premix and garnishes. Serves liquor, soda, beer and wine. Serves patrons directly or delivers to food service staff.
Performs related duties including assisting in setting up of the food service line, replenishing beverage and ice dispensers, making coffee, stocking of food coolers and displays, etc.
Assist in the set-up of rooms for daily service or special functions such as meetings, receptions, special event, etc. Responsible for cleaning of facilities after daily operations or special functions including wiping of tables, removal of soiled dishes and linens, vacuuming of room and set up for next day.
Cleans equipment in kitchen and dining area. Washes dishes, pots and pans, glasses, flatware, etc. Operates mechanical dishwasher. Disposes of food and trash.
Moves heavy garbage cans. Assists in unloading supply trucks and storing heavy supplies.
Responsible for the daily cleaning of the food service equipment and facilities including dusting, organizing, polishing, sweeping, mopping and general cleaning.
Performs additional duties as assigned and required.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Must be able to follow recipes and combine ingredients as directed.
Ability to operate commercial food service equipment.
Ability to operate a cash register.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
