The purpose of this position is to perform essential professional archival work in support of the Gallery Archives. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the GA program in managing physical (analog) and digital time-based media objects, consisting of a large collection of institutional, accessioned audio and moving image materials.

Physical requirements: Work is primarily sedentary; however, some walking is required to go to other offices in the Gallery.
Candidates must meet the following Qualification Standards Handbook requirements. For the GS-12 specialized experience is at least one year of experience equivalent in responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service involving the the collection, appraisal, analysis or synthesis of information having historical or archival values within an art-based organization or cultural institution.
