Duties

If selected for this position you will serve as a Management and Program Analyst and to support the successful planning, management, and delivery of multiple information technology projects. Ensure the projects are completed within scope, quality, time, and cost requirements to deliver business value. This position reports to the Chief Data Officer (CDO).

The incumbent, with input from the CDO and Senior Program Manager will develop concrete, detailed plans for approved projects, including the schedule and budget, outlining the duties of each team member, identifying project goals, and setting a timeline for the project. In addition, the incumbent will collaborate with various teams to develop integrated project plans and presents them to upper-level management before starting the project.

The incumbent closely monitors each project he or she manages to ensure that the project remains on track, meets deadlines, stays under budget, and products and/or services are delivered according to plan. The incumbent is responsible for not only identifying project objectives, but also ensuring that they are met. The incumbent develops status reports and/or reviews reports prepared by project personnel and modifies the schedule and plan, as necessary.

If selected at the payband I, in addition to the above duties the incumbent will analyze project proposals to determine the time frame, funding limitations, and appropriate methodology for accomplishing projects; Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation; Develop and measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and metrics.

To qualify for this position at the H payband you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, FG/GS-10/11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experience may include but not limited to: Experience in managing and monitoring projects to ensure that the planned effort remains on track, meets deadlines, stays under budget, and products and/or services are delivered according to plan.
