This position is located in the Office of Medical Services (OMS), Office of Health Services. The incumbent coordinates and supervises the delivery of complex patient care. The Peace Corps field support unit is responsible for providing direct consultative support to Peace Corps Medical Officers (PCMOs) and for organizing, managing and evaluating health care services to medically evacuated Volunteers.

Peace Corps Manual Section 611 is applicable to this position. This section prohibits the employment of certain persons previously engaged in intelligence activities or connected with intelligence agencies within the past 10 years. A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (external link), Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (external link), Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (external link), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (external link) at the time the degree was obtained.
